Divisional Manager – Hydraulic Sales – German Gulf Enterprises

Overall responsibility for Hydraulic Sales and Support in UAE, Oman and Qatar, comprising a full portfolio of Hydraulic Products & Parts Sales, UHP Rental, Hoses and Fittings, Sealing Solutions and Service Sales through the sales teams.
Maintain & develop relationships with Principals & Supply Partners including negotiations on distribution agreements, annual business plans/targets, pricing policy, credit policy, delivery issues, and market information.
Overall responsibility of turnover of the division and subdivisions in coordination with the supervisors, team leaders and Managers.
Strategic business planning including preparation and submission of annual budgets and longer-term strategic plans.
Provide Revenue, Manpower and Capex projections to management as required
Preparing pricing policy for each product and principal supplier and subsequent implementation after management approval
Implementation of agreed marketing measures for each principal in coordination with the Marketing department including fairs, exhibitions, email campaigns, brochures, advertisement material, catalogs, etc.
Proactive coordination with Central Supply Chain & Inventory teams to ensure optimum stocks of products & parts to ensure sufficient availability to achieve planned revenues.
Monitoring the procurement team including approving new vendors, stock orders and customer orders to ensure good procurement management, timely delivery and quality of products supplied to customers
Business Development by continuously monitoring market activity, engaging current principals, identifying new suppliers, expanding the business organically & inorganically by adding new product lines and services.
Optimum management & utilization of available resources.
Market study for new products and services to build business plans for expansion, new products or to enter new markets.
Management of customer receivables through effective credit control activities, resolution of customer account queries and adherence to corporate credit guidelines.
Ensure smooth operations of the division in coordination with all support functions such as Procurement/Supply Chain, Inventory/Warehousing, Finance/Credit Control, HR, QHSE, Marketing, etc
Ensuring the profitability of the division by monitoring the indirect expense ratio to revenue & GM
Overall personnel management of the division relating to recruitment/selection, performance & development, staff motivations levels and proper guidance to ensure maximum staff engagement & performance
Performance monitoring of the staff, including annual PDR & KPI/Objective setting and submission of justified recommendations for promotions, increments, incentives and other benefits.
Ensure the highest possible levels of customer satisfaction through effective account management via regular structured customer visits, use of CRM and complaint resolution.
Ensure divisional adherence to regulatory & corporate Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental guidelines & procedures.
All Day to Day responsibilities to ensure smooth operation, effective utilization of resources, optimizing costs, approvals, administration decisions of operation etc.
Minimum Bachelor degree holder in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Master’s in Business Administration or equivalent degree
Minimum 15 years’ experience in the field of Construction Equipment, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Industrial Machinery Sales, Service, Spare parts, Application Engineering, Product Management, Inventory control, cost control, international Business, Strategic Management, resource management, Technology management, Business Development etc.
Minimum 5 years as a successful profit center head for Engineering products division or company.
High level of PC skills. MS Office packages like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Techno-commercial specialization with hands on experience in Sales, Service, spare parts & rental management in relevant industry dealership.
Specialisation in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Automation with various applications in relevant industries such as Steel, Aluminium, Cement, Construction, Mobile, Marine and Aviation sectors.
Strong negotiations skills with experience in multi-cultural environment related to Sales, contract management, agreements, tenders and projects.
Techno commercials skills in product evaluation, marketability, Quality and market estimation and formulation of sound business plans.
Strategic Management skills in building new businesses, expansions and team building in order to develop sustainable business models.
